Trekking path of Crapolla

icon calendar

Path between sea and land, a unique landscape of the Gallic Islands and the Amalfi coast.

Let's start: Park in the center of Sant'Agata, walk to the sea, the path takes about 3 hours, is well marked, safe even for beginners.

We start from Sant'Agata, we descend through houses and cultivated gardens, full of olive trees, vegetables and stables, the first immersion in nature.

Once the gardens are finished, a staircase of around 350 steps begins down to the sea, passing through a small Abbadia, the convent of San Pietro a Crapolla, with a wooden crece, very particular and well finished.

From the view of the convent you understand what you are facing, a spectacular natural fjord. There are small stone structures made in the past by fishermen, historic warehouses, pieces of a bygone time.

The water is an intense color, emerald green, the pebbles typical of the Sorrento and Amalfi coasts, the mountain behind which dominates a unique setting.

The Crapolla route is not to be missed, visiting Sorrento also means enjoying unique, typical scenery and wonderful views.

Another small Portiglione route starts from the Abbey of San Pietro, reaching the sea via another passage between mountains and valleys.
